What exactly does is mean to Jailbreak an iPhone?
Essentially, when you jailbreak 3GS iPhones, or any type of iPhone really, it means that you are getting out from under the limitations that ATT and Apple put on your phone. Somewhere in the world, someone way more geeky than you or I figured out how to hack the specific software that is on the phone. They then released instructions for other people who are nearly as geeky as them.
At some point, one of these entrepreneurial geeks created a software application that anyone could use to jailbreak 3G or 4G iPhones’ software. so instead of having to get down and dirty into the programming and the code of the IOS, you just buy the piece of software from them, install it on your PC, and then transfer it to your phone. The application then automatically “breaks open” the iPhone’s operating system to allow you to install unauthorized software or whatever you want.
So Why Would You Want to Jailbreak Your 3GS iPhone?
When you jailbreak 3G iPhones, it opens up a whole new world to you as far as customizing your phone. You can do everything from customizing the look (using skins etc.) of the phone, to installing awesome 3rd-party unauthorized applications and downloading free ringtones and music from different online sources.
In another post, I’ll tell you about some of the places that you can download these apps, and give some examples of some of the really cool apps out there.

I’m in a photography class in senior high right right away but we habituate picture SLR’s, but i stock still want to buy digital one.
